Our customer contacted us as he needed a secure space to park his car. Deciding on a Carport with Roller Garage Door for his home in Bever, Worcester.
He wanted the low-maintenance aluminimum framework finished in a semi-gloss white colour.
One of the options for the glazing chosen was 16mm clear polycarbonate roofing sheets.
The clear glazing helps to maximise the light whilst blocking harmful ultraviolet rays.
Other glazing options are Opal (frosted), Bronze (tinted) in 16mm triple-wall polycarbonate. 4mm Solid polycarbonate is also available at an additional price.
Solid polycarbonate is clear like glass. As it is solid raindrops don’t make as much drumming noise that the hollow 16mm glazing does.
For the look of glass but far stronger than glass they chose 4mm solid polycarbonate.
To keep the carport looking good clean it with warm soapy water. Wash off any dirt and rinse with clean water leather off or let it air dry.
