We despatched Gerard to call on you in Swansea with a new Somfy motor, remote control and wind safety sensor. Replacing your old parts and brought your non functioning awning back to operating like new.

Your German Weinor Opal Design LUX awning needed a pair of commercial quality arms replaced along with a service and new light receiver. This model of awning is at the luxury end of the market and does benefit from regular servicing.

In Weinor’s Maintenance Instructions and Directions for Use they state (that maintenance should be carried out at least once a year by a suitable specialist retailer). Regular servicing and cleaning will maintain the awning and keep it looking great. Thank you for your custom and we look forward to seeing you again in the near future. Your large existing awning supplied and installed many years ago had started to work loose from the wall and the motor needed to be replaced. We had new bespoke steel brackets manufactured that were longer to spread the load over the wall. Removed the awning and original brackets, replaced them with the new longer brackets and reinstalled the awning with a new motor. The awning now works perfectly and most importantly it is safe to use.

Your top-of-the-range Thomas Sanderson Monaco was worth having a service, framework cleaned, along with the replacement of the SOMFY motor, remote and sun + wind sensors.

It not only looks like new, it operates as a new awning. For added peace of mind you new awning motor comes with a 5-year warranty. It really pays to replace old motors and parts as there is nothing worse than the awning motor just stopping and this normally happens when the awning is fully extended! Most remote control awnings do not have a manual means retracting them, so maintenance and replacing parts in a timely fashion is so important.

Stefanie, as one of our awning repair specialist dealt with your enquiry and was able to work out the awning manufacturer and model. Once she determined it was a luxury German model and the arms were still available.

We sent Gerard over to make the awning safe as you didn’t want it to cause anymore damage to your awning or your home.

Stefanie ordered the replacement parts and we sent Gerard back over to remove the old arms and expertly install the new ones.

We are pleased to have been able to help you as it was a worry when the original arm sheared off and the awning wouldn’t fully close!
