The Horseshoe Inn purchased two large pub awnings with wind sensors for their pub in Bermondsey, London.
As the old pub awning was a single awning that had become too unwieldy due to its size. Also the old large pub awing had become very tired and needed replacing. Deciding that the pub awnings would need to be strong enough to cope with windy conditions. The owner Peter decided that an important feature of the new awnings was adding wind sensors. Wind sensors detect vibration of the front extended part of the awning.
When wind speeds get too high the awnings automatically retract to help protect them from wind damage.
SBI specified it’s own brand of an awning to provide shade from the sun and shelter from the rain. The large pub awnings have powerful spring-loaded arms that push the cover out and keep it taut.
By pressing a button on the remote control they can open or close the large pub awnings with ease.
Built-in LED lighting in the arms adds to the ambiance under the awnings at night.
