The first thing to do check that there is power running to the electric motor. Check that the fuse in the plug hasn’t blown. Check that the remote control battery is working. If you have a spare battery change it over. Once you have done all of that and the awning will still not work. The likely hood is that the motor has simply stopped working.

The motor is built into the awning and it is tubular in shape. The motor is inserted inside the steel barrel that fabric rolls around. As the motor is in a sealed unit it shouldn’t be dismantled. You will need to contact a specialist awning company like SBI Ltd (Sun Blinds Installations). They will carefully remove the motor and replace it with a new one.
